AGARTALA, January 29 (TIWN): The service life of 10,323 teachers seems to be an object of destiny now. As on wednesday the apex court has delayed the case upto next April 6, anything decisive is a thing of uncertain future. And the conclusion, amongst all hyped legal jostle and proceedings are the helpless teachers employees are living their lives in the fright of sheer insecurity, when it comes to support their family and bread and butter. Thanks (!) to the faulty and nepotism oriented politically motivated recruitment policy of Manik Sarkar’s government. While talking to this correspondent, teachers association President Bimal Saha has informed that if the SC gives a verdict which makes them lose their job, they would take state government to court. “We will fix up our next step of actions once the SC hears the case and decides anything”, further added Mr. Saha.Meanwhile the term of five years for regularizing the fixed employees is going to be over in the next month of May or June. So they are supposed to be regularized soon.

“Amidst all the worries that we have been facing due to state government’s policies and rules, none of the ministers or department has not felt it necessary to contact us for once”, said Bimal Saha. And that stands for an apathetic attitude of the state government towards the teachers fraternity of the state.

Anticipating the blunt defeat of the state government in the Supreme Court (SC), the concerned section of the teachers of the state, have already formed an association of their own named as Tripura Sarkari Karmachari Fixed Pay Employees (TSKFPE).Months earlier the association was formed here in capital. An they had meet first in the Red Lotus Club near Agartala Press Club. Now to watch out the daring acts of the left affiliated organizations and associations the President of the TSKFPE Bimal Saha has said: “Our members have said us that the leftist employees associations members threaten them and stop and pressurizes them not to attend the meeting and be a part of the association.”

Meanwhile, while talking to TIWN one of the eminent lawyers of state has expressed his opinions by saying “I do not think the Supreme Court will interfere in the verdict of the High Court (HC) as there was no merit list and moreover this too is not acceptable anyway that few candidates will be interviewed in Dharmangar and few in Kailasahar.” The lawyer has further added that a both the candidates getting 40 % and 80 % in a particular subject, have got the job. So what are the selection criteria? “As you did not conduct any test you should have had definite and proper guidelines but nothing was there”, further added the lawyer.
