Police said, the drive was necessitated to curb the numbers of road accidents, deaths in the state. 

On Sunday, South Tripura District Police officials conducted drives in various parts of Belonia and imposed fines on the law violators.

Talking to a police official, he said, “Our main target is to aware the people about the importance of following traffic laws. Everyone should wear helmet and follow the necessary traffic laws”.
