AGARTALA, Nov 25 (TIWN): 12,400 Ganja plants were destroyed by police in PR Bari PS Police on Saturday.

BSF 69^th Bn and Forest Dept helped the Police in this drive.

The drive took place across Ghosh Khamar Lake Para, and Chikan Khei areas.

But like other similar drives,  a lot of air pollution was caused by the officials as they put the Ganja plants on fire. This problem has turned a serious one with no concern yet expressed by Tripura Pollution dept.

Destruction of Ganja plants is important but does it really need to set them on fire when it’s causing pollution and disturbing natural inhabitants. Nobody was arrested in this connection.
