AGARTALA, July 21 (TIWN): Allegation raised against GB Hospital’s junior Doctor for tearing apart prescription, seizing medicine / injection records overs after a patient party sought prescription after the death of the patient. Without permission of the family members, the junior Doctor on duty also seized the dead body for post-mortem. Son of the deceased Mithun Ghosh said, “If ‘X’ injection was given to my father, then she will write ‘Y’ and that’s the intension. Otherwise, why the papers and medicine records have been seized?”
“I admitted my father to this hospital at around 7.30 am with ill health. He was suffering from breathing suffocations. The Doctor pushed an injection to my father and within half an hour my father died”, Mithun, the son of the deceased said.

“I was sent outside for medicine purpose. Within a while, when I returned, I saw my father is dead. I asked the Doctor to give me the details of the medicines that have been given to my father. Doctor said, someone had thrown the prescriptions and medicines and the bed is empty. Then argument generated and the Doctor said without post mortem the body will not be given to us”, said the deceased son.
The Doctor allegedly forced the patient party to beg mercy from her or the body will not be given. Not only that, the lady Doctor also demanded a written mercy letter from the patient party
