AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): Tripura BJP organized a rally congratulating the BJP Govt for Tripura Budget 2023-24.

BJP said, this budget is progressive and addressed the entire population of the state.

BJP led State Govt of Tripura presented 2023-24 Budget with an outlay of Rs 27,654.40 crore, with around Rs 5,358.70 crore allocated for capital expenditure.

Reacting over the Budget 2023-24 and budget amount allocated for the development, Opposition Leader Animesh Debbarma said, the budget is not enough to cover Tripura’s problems and bring development. Even the Assembly toilet is in miserable condition. Schools are given advertisement of SMART classes whereas not even sufficient numbers of benches provided to the children. We need more budget allocations”. Animesh Debbarma also refused to accept the State Govt data of Fishery development and said, “If for two days fish supplies are stopped from Bangladesh, then prices of fish will go to thousand rupees”.

On the other hand, Tripura Govt has claimed about massive allocations in all sectors and covering all sectors and sections of people. Amid rising demands for more quality health services in Tripura, Tripura Govt has laid a plan for Rs. 1765 crores budget allocation to develop health services. During budget placement, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said, “Eleven Health and Wellness Centers will be constructed in Bruresettlement locations at North, Dhalai and Gomati Districts. Maharani PHC, Madhupur PHC and Bishramganj PHC will be upgraded to CHC level in 2023-24. Two new PHCs will be constructed at Nitya Bazar and Durpabari. Five new PHC buildings will be inaugurated at Anandanagar, Bamutia, Taibandal, Dayarampara and Niharnagar.
