AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): Reacting to the Kumaghat Rath tragedy incident where 7 people died due to electric shock, former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Saturday said that the situation is gloomy and tense in Kumarghat right now.
Manik Sarkar’s statement came after he visited Kumarghat on Friday and talked to victims, police, officials and also ISKCON members.
Sarkar said, “I did not see much gathering in the area. Shops were customerless. We realized that there is a hidden anger among the people. They are unable to understand how that incident took place and anytime anything may happen there”.
“Regular traffic persons were also less. People are very less in numbers on the road. It’s something like as if the atmosphere is suppressed before a storm”, said Sarkar.
