AGARTALA, January 24 (TIWN): A full dress rehearsal of this year's Republic Day Parade took place on Saturday at Assam Riffles Ground, here today.

School Children Performed during the full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day celebration on January 26 at Assam Riffles Ground.

Tripura State Rifles, Assam Riffles, Tripura Police, Forest Guards and Home Guards also performed during the full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day celebration.

Moreover, a Police dog show was also organized during the full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day celebration.

In the meantime, a thick security blanket has been thrown out in the capital town here in view of Republic Day.

The entire town has been divided into many security sectors and senior officers will supervise and monitor the security of each sectors, senior police officer said.

Other arrangements like anti-sabotage arrangements, keeping a close vigil from roof-tops and search by dog squads have also been made, said cops.

Some Quick Reaction Teams (QRT) have been kept ready and the Border Security Force (BSF) has been asked to completely seal the 856km long Indo-Bangla border so that no unwanted elements can sneak into the Indian territory from across the border.
