The incident occurred in Mantala area under Dharmanagar police station of North Tripura district.

Reportedly, at around three o'clock on Friday night, Swadesh Chakraborty, a resident of Mantala Road, saw a fire flame in the cowshed of Swadesh Chakraborty. When he screamed, the people around gathered there.

Immediately, Dharmanagar fire department was informed. But the entire cowshed was burnt to ashes before the Fire Brigade could reach.

The householder said that there were three pregnant cows and one calf in the cattle house.
