AGARTALA, January 24 (TIWN): Talking tough on the CM's lecture at Tripura statehood celebration 2015, Tripura Pradesh Congress on Friday claimed that the celebration has nothing to exhibit the development of the state rather than to sell the so called 'clean image' of the Chief Minister Manik Sarkar. Besides, the newly published book “Tripura Chief Minister at National Forum (1998-2013)” has disgraced the history of the state and Tripura before ’98, said Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president Ashish Saha today. In a press conference, the TPCC Working President Ashish Saha criticised Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s statement during the second day of the statehood day programme at Agartala U.K. Academy saying that Manik Sarkar has shown disgrace to the role of the State Chief Ministers and leaders before 1988.

Adding to that he said that throughout the celebration of the statehood day of Tripura Manik Sarkar has been laying stress on the role of the present CM and LF Govt. here in Tripura but not mentioning role of earlier Chief Ministers from Congress and Left Front Govts.

Raising a question over the newly published book Mr. Saha today said that where there no role of the leaders before 1988? Or were the other leaders of the state have not been taken to the national forum?

Since the last couple of days the CPI (M) and its Left front govt. were found greatly involved in corruptions and scams and their faces behind the musk had been disclosed at large across the state, whereas on the other the Planning and coordination department of the state along with the ICA department had tried their level best to exhibit the clean image of Manik Sarkar through the celebration of the statehood day this year, said Ashish Saha.

Saying that the Tripura Left front govt. want to wipe out the development from the history of Tripura Mr. Saha today said that CM Manik Sarkar was found nowhere to mention the name of the leaders of the coalition govt. rather the left front here in Tripura remained busy to demonstrate Manik Sarkar as a role model of Tripura in the newly published book – “Tripura Chief Minister at National Forum (1998-2013)”. Adding to that Mr. Saha said that the congress will write to the publisher of the book seeking reply, and later if they fail in it than the congress will move for a protest movement across the state.

However, later putting stress on the role of the Congress leader Sachindra Lal Singh and the coalition govt. here in Tripura, Ashish Saha said that the overall development of the state and the development of the Block here in Tripura has taken its way holding the hand of former congress leader Sachindra Lal Singh, whereas on the other coalition govt. has brought an opportunity for employment and has made the highest pay scale. But the Left front regime has taken it to the least pay scale, claimed Ashish Saha.

Later on the sidelines, TPCC Spokesman Ashok Sinha criticized a framed news of a local Bengali daily newspaper, where it was published that the Left Front govt. has created an employment opportunity, has created a right to vote at 18 and the health facility in the country. Coming down on the issue of the celebration of the statehood day, Mr. Sinha urged to pay importance to the role of a legendry figures during the celebration of any kind of foundation programme here at the state.
