DGP Nagraj inaugurates Bagma Police Out Post

Udaipur, January 23 (TIWN): New Out post at Bagma has started to function with effect from 23rd January under R.K.Pur PS. It is the 7th Out post in Gomati District. K.Nagaraj, DGP, Tripura inaugurated the New Out post today at 12.30 hours.

The out post has started functioning from building located by the side of National Highway-44 near Bagma market.   

SI-Chitta Ranjan Das has been posted as 1st Officer-In-charge of Bagma Out Post. There are six revenue villages which will come under this Out post.
On the occasion of inauguration of Bagma Out Post a large number of local people thronged there. Among them the presence of women/children were noticeable. Mr. Anurag, IGP(L/O), Sri Sankar Debnath, SP(Gomati), SDM, Udaipur and local panchayet members were also attended the occasions.     

It is yo be mentioned here that since 1998 people of Bagma have been demanding to open a police outpost in the interests of law and order situation. In 2010 District Police administration officially sent recommendation to Police Head Quarters(PHQ) to open the said outpost at Bagma. But due to land problem the process delayed for at least four years. 

Speaking on this occasion DGP IC K Nagraj said," During the last one decade the terrorists in Tripura lost their ground. And now terror network in Tripura is almost extinct. However, even now especially in border areas the terrorists are trying to set up their base. But police is doing its best. " 

DGP urged all the people to come forward to assist the police in wiping out terror network from the state.
