AGARTALA, January 22 (TIWN): Finally controversial and hopeless, accused of large scale corruption in Industries and Commerce department of Tripura Pravin L Agarwal has managed to get five years central deputation in Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public enterprises through his mentor,former Chief Secretary and incumbent Secretary Ministry of Textile S K Panda.Agarwal is also another accused of indulging large scale corruption in industries and commerce department in past three years. His success curve is fully devoted to serving S.K. Panda largely and netting the corruption in Maharashtra based companies. According to sources, Agarwal had a laborious job in writing of Panda’s upcoming publication on Corporate Social Responsibility. During Panda’s tenure in Agartala, Agarwal spent almost every morning in Panda’s house for writing the book for him. Report however, further claimed that Panda needs Agarwal’s help in Delhi for finalizing his publication and all other nefarious personal ventures.

Panda had worked hard in past three months to take him in Delhi. The controversial industrial groups and consultants have been abetted in the state by the then District Magistrate of West Tripura and CEO AMC Kiran Gitte who is now on deputation as District Magistrate of Amravati in Maharashtra; the home district of Pravin Agarwal.

It is to be mentioned here that Gitte is the first officer of Tripura cadre who was able to manage inter-cadre deputation in Maharashtra depriving one of the most promising cadres of that state. Agarwal is reportedly deeply involved in the corruption and money making activities using the potential and resources of Tripura.

Both Gitte and Agarwal is the close aides of Dr Panda. Report said Pravin was so close to Panda that, he had to manage some gifts from another investor to Panda’s daughters weeding, attending in person at Bhubaneswar Feb 2014 last year.

In return, Panda assured his uninterrupted Directorship in Industries and Commerce department for his-self welfare though industries and investment did not see light and boost during the period.

Agarwal being an IFS cadre looking for deputation in Ministry of Environment and Forest & Climate Change but for this he has to wait for another few months, but Dr Panda may suffer loss in his personal venture and as an immediate arrangement, so he managed a post in Ministry of Heavy Industries under central staffing schemes.

However, officers in Industries department are happy with Agarwal’s departure, as it is considered to be a respite from evil practices and bring more investment in the state.
