AGARTALA, March 27 (TIWN): Left front backed Mid-Day-Meal workers’ union on Monday has alleged that massive terminations of the mid day meal workers are going on in Tripura. Bringing such an allegation, a leader of union told media that around 450 mid-day-meal workers were terminated after BJP came to power in 2018. Before election a little amount of salaries were increased for the mid day meal workers but after increasing the salary, there is no relief for the workers.
“Massive Termination of Mid-Day-Meal workers going on. We have received few reports and we believe this is just the beginning and it will not stop there. The terminated workers have not been given any termination letter and that’s why we are unable to go to the court”, the union leader said adding that to stop the process, the union will go into massive protest if necessary.
