AGARTALA, January 21 (TIWN): CPI (M) spokesman Goutam das today denied the allegation of Rs. 6 crore and 50 lakhs brought by opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman against the CPI (M) party headquarter and its leaders. Mr. Das today coming down heavily on Sudip’s allegation said “I challenge Sudip Barman if he can mention the name of chit fund company”. However, talking to TIWN today opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman said that the congress is not at all interested to mention name of any chit fund company, and the CBI will soon reveal the face behind the mask.“CPI (M) has not received donation money from corporate body or chit fund company”, claimed CPI (M) spokes person Goutam Das today holding a press conference at the party headquarter at Melarmath.

Opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman on Tuesday staged a press meet,  alleged that prior to the last assembly election the CPI (M) party office had received Rs. 6 crore from a chit fund firm and another CPI (M) leader had received kickbak of Rs. 50 lakh from Chit fund company.

However today coming down heavily on Sudip, CPI (M) spokesman Goutam Das made it clear that CPI (M) receives a fund for their party work and that too with a coupons and receipt. And the income tax department has every details of it, said Das.

Later saying that the allegation of the Sudip Roy Barman is completely baseless, Goutam Das said that the CBI in West Bengal has already revealed the names of the Trinamool leaders involved with the chit fund companies and most of them are now under the custody of the CBI. Therefore it clearly indicates who is involved with the chit fund companies, said Das. He further added that here in Tripura the Left front govt. on its first drive listed the name of the chit fund companies existed at the state and has already send those to the CBI.

Reiterating that the allegation brought by the opposition leader is false, Goutam Das today challenged Sudip Roy barman if he can mention the name of the chit fund firm from which the CPI (M) has received Rs. 6 crore and Rs. 5 lakh prior to the last assembly poll here in the state.

What made the story more interesting is that today during the press conference CPI (M) spokesman made it clear that as per the protocol and the agenda of the state CPI (M) party no Ministers and the party leaders are allowed to share a dais of any chit fund companies. But when asked about the issue of the Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s dais sharing with the Rose Valley Chief, Mr. Das today said that it was a minor programme of the Rose valley company and that too happened very past. But now no one can figure out and say that any Ministers and the party leaders share a dais with any Chit fund firms here in the state, claimed Das.

Later sideling another issue CPI (M) spokes person Goutam Das saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation to Obama on 26th January has brought a great insult to the citizens of India, the CPI (M) and its Left front will stage a protest across the state on January 24.

However later talking to TIWN in this regard opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman said that he is not at all interested to mention the name of the chit fund firm from where the CPI (M) has received a handsome amount. Besides, the CBI will reveal the face behind the mask very soon, said Barman.
