TPCC’s newly framed cell to rescue deprived depositors received heavy response: complaints involving  Rs. 25 crore claimed till date; CPIM's close link with Sarada, Rose Valley, Waris Chit funds under scanner

AGARTALA, January 21 (TIWN): Tripura Pradesh Congress’ (TPCC) newly framed cell to rescue the deprived chit fund depositors and the agents has been receiving a beeline gathering of applicants every day. Till date Rs. 25 crore claim complaints has been submitted at the cell, with an average of Rs. 1 crore to Rs. 1.50 crore daily, said TPCC Working President Ashish Saha today. The TPCC has framed a 5 members cell to receive complaints of the deprived depositors of the Chit fund companies from January 12 till February 28. Talking to TIWN today, TPCC Working President Ashish Saha said that till date the newly framed cell of the TPCC has received complaints from thousands of depositors claiming a total of Rs. 25 crore with an average of Rs. 1 crore to Rs. 1.50 crore claims ever day. Adding to that he said though the cell was scheduled to remain open from 10:30am to 1:30 PM every day but at present a beeline gathering of the applicants could be witnessed untill 4:00 PM at the cell office lodging complaint and taking the application forms.Mr. Saha further added that till January 21 the deprived depositors and the agents have lodged a complaint against at least 17 to 18 chit fund companies.

The Chit fund company includes Saradha, Rose-Valley, I-core, Ramel, Basil, Agro Pvt. Ltd., Cosmic and others. The newly framed cell of the TPCC has been receiving several FIR copies, CDs, Seizure lists, photocopies, etc along with the application forms, said Saha.

Asked about the outcome of the cell, Mr. Saha said that after collecting all the evidences against the chit fund companies the Pradesh Congress will move to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will highlight the failure of the state govt. in regard of rescuing the deprived depositors. Also direct relation of CPIM Melarmath leaders and Chit Fund companies will be highlighted.

However, the newly framed cell is headed by retired Judge Subhash Bhattacharjee alongwith other 5 members. The cell is scheduled to remain open till February 28.
