AGARTALA, January 20 (TIWN): As part of an incessant inquiry on stand tall flight ticket black marketing business, the Crime Investigation Department (CID) branch here in Tripura seeks certain documents from the Air India Company and directorate of the Civil Aviation. “We have already asked for a necessary documents from the AI and the directorate of the Civil Aviationâ€, said SP CID Sanjoy Roy on Monday evening.
Asked about the recent status of the enquiry of the flight ticket black marketing SP CID Sanjoy Roy talking to TIWN over phone said that the scrutiny and the statement record of the flight passengers is in progress and it will take much time more to wind up with it. He further added that recently the CID has asked for certain documents from the Air India Company and from the Directorate of the Civil Aviation.
CID has started a probe into the case of hoarding of flight tickets allegedly by travel agencies of Agartala in fake names and selling them to passengers at exorbitantly high prices.
However it is mentionable here that people of Tripura has been facing immense problems because of withdrawal of Jet Airways and irregular service of Spice Jet. And on another severe hurdle for the flight passengers of Agartala, a section of travel agencies were allegedly selling the tickets with excessive price.
Earlier, the Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Tripura police has collected passenger list of Indigo airline from December 1 to December 29 of Agartala-Kolkata route from Agartala airport counter of Indigo airline office. CID is also enquiring the passenger lists of the Air India and Spicejet airlines and about the group ticketing systems of airlines, SP CID Sanjoy Roy mentioned.
According to CID sources, lots of irregularities are coming out in CID investigation regarding alleged black-marketing of air tickets, for last couple of days, CID carried investigating at number of agencies where they found serious irregularities regarding group ticket booking. After completion of investigation, police likely to arrest those found responsible in creating crisis, a list is being prepared, CID sources said.
