AGARTALA, Feb 28 (TIWN): Reacting to the exit polls released by some national medias and BJP workers’ firecracker burning, CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury said that such an exit poll was the last attempt of giving some oxygen to the BJP workers. “It was easily visible that BJP workers and leaders know very well that they are going to lose and their faces could show the truth but now with the help of the exit poll, this is the last attempt to keep the workers engaged”, said Chowdhury. "BJP tried to rig the poll like other polls but they could not do anything in their favour and at last voters voted till late night and now this is the last attempt of the BJP to energize its workers till th counting day", added Chowdhury.
“I request the people to gather at 8 am as the poll counting will start at that time. People will say the last words”, added Chowdhury.
The statement came after national media’s exit polls claimed BJP’s victory with a tight fight against the opposition.
It can be mentioned here, BJP has been propagating since a long time after the vote was completed that Opposition will not be able to give counting agents. Already multiple attack incidents were reported in the state on the opposition. However after the exit poll, firecrackers were burnt by BJP to energize the party. On the other hand, Tripura’s leading newspapers’ editorials have mocked national media for their bizarre exit polls.
