AGARTALA, Feb 17 (TIWN): A clash occurred between BJP and the Congress in Vivekananda Abasan after the Assembly poll was completed. Today a bomb was found at the entrance point of the residential area, which was allegedly kept by BJP as per the locals’ allegation.Both Congress and BJP workers were injured in the attack of yesterday but a fact remains behind the attack, that the BJP’s injured persons are not residents of the quarter, which raises the question, what was the cause behind their entry to the residential quarter at late night?
High drama on VIP road was seen after BJP blocked the road in front of the Secretariat seeking arrests of the Congress workers. But residents said, it was BJP who launched the attack on them.
They also said, this is not the first time that such an incident occurred but many times it happened.
The attack was allegedly caused by BJP after the voters cast vote amid many threats. BJP has refused the allegation and said, it was done by Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman’s workers.
Police assured a proper investigation into the matter.
On the other hand, statewide massive attacks are going on at the opposition houses. A terminated 10323 teacher’s family was also attacked in Ranir Bazar and his auto was burnt.
