AGARTALA, Jan 27 (TIWN): Except Left Front no major party could announce candidates’ list so far in Tripura for the upcoming Assembly Poll although deadlines for nomination to various other formalities are knocking the doors. When the parties are busy in selection of candidates, they are far from the basic official works. However, CEO Kiren Gitte has made it clear that no further extension will be given for Bank account opening.
CEO in a press meet clearly mentioned that Saturday and Sunday Banks although will be closed but Monday will be last date for bank details submission.
He mentioned, all candidates as per ECI rule need to have a new account only for the poll and Monday is the last date to submit the bank details. That means on Monday Bank accounts will be opened and on Monday they have to submit it.
Also, CEO cleared the confusion about the poll date followed by a typing mistake by the ECI. He said Tripura Poll will be held on February 16 as announced.
