AGARTALA, Jan 6 (TIWN): BJP as the opposition party had promised to fulfill the regularization demand of all contractual employees. But after 5 years of Govt even after High Court’s verdict in support of the SSA teachers’ regularization, they were not regularized which has naturally generated resentment among the SSA teachers in Tripura when in many other BJP-ruled states including Assam SSA teachers have been regularized. On Friday, SSA teachers gheraoed the Education Dept and placed deputation to the Director seeking their regularization along with DA and financial benefits to the NC teachers.
SSA teachers’ leader Bastab Debbarma expressed resentment over extending benefits for the RMSA teachers without training but not giving benefits to the trained SSA teachers.
“We are not working for any of the political parties but our demand is solely based on SSA teachers’ benefits. We will be forced to protest and gherao Ministers’ houses if our demands are not fulfilled”, said Bastab Debbarma.
