AGARTALA, Jan 4 (TIWN): A group of REGA workers locked the RS Para ADC village office under Kalyanpur RD Block.
The workers locked the village office keeping the Panchayat Secretary, Regar GRS, and other employees inside.
Getting information, police force of Kalyanpur police station rushed to the news of the incident. Workers alleged that they had been doing 15-day work in the area of RS Para Village for the past few days. Workers also complained that although there were only 26 people worked but 32 people received money.
Finally the paramilitary forces were brought to control the situation.
Panchayat Extension Officer of Kalyanpur block Kaushik Debbarma rushed from Kalyanpur RD Block after receiving the news. He told the reporters that if 26 people worked and 32 people took payment according to the worker's complaint, everything will be looked into and legal action will be taken.
However such allegations are not new under the BJP era. Since the Govt’s formation similar allegations have been coming about such a corruption.
