AGARTALA, Dec 24 (TIWN): Over thousands of schools were shut down in Tripura under the BJP-IPFT Govt. Today, MP cum Central Minister Pratima Bhowmik further announced that more schools to be closed for the shake of Quality Education.

Rebuking the former Left Govt, MP Pratima Bhowmik said “The previous Govt was just making schools without any vision of providing quality Education, but we have merged many schools because of very low student strength there”.

“Now the schools where below 15 students are studying will be merged with the nearest school. Otherwise we can’t provide Quality Education”, said Bhowmik.

However, the matter of concern is that with the rising merges of schools, opportunities for employment from teaching profession to mid-day-meal workers will also be downed.
