AGARTALA, Dec 13 (TIWN): West Agartala Police have arrested five persons in connection to Brown Sugar business in Agartala.

Detailing about the raid and arrests, SDPO Sadar Ajay Kumar Das said, “Batalla Bridge area, especially under the bridge a narcotic racket is going on for a long time. Many times drug-dealers were arrested by police but the network continued to spread even if in a little amount. Sources informed, now the brown sugar and other containers are kept in a very minimum amount and thus the peddling is still going rampant”.

West PS Oc-Jayanta Kumar Dey and Battla OC-Tapan Das conducted the raid in a joint effort and arrested five.

The arrested people are : 1) Sushanta Chakraborty, 2) Halam Mia, 3) Shibu Datta, 4) Prasenjit Barman, 5) Sandip Saha.
