AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN): Joint Movement Committee (JMC) of 10323 teachers on Friday held a protest in Agartala asking the Govt to save their jobs immediately or they will go into massive protests. “If the Govt is thinking that without sending us to schools, the elections will be held then it’s wrong thinking. We request the Govt to solve our problems as per RTI and Para-127. Chief Minister held a meeting with us and assured us that our problems will be solved. Now, we demand our problems should be solved immediately. Otherwise, the Govt will face massive, lawless protests”, said Kamal Deb, a member of JMC.
“It’s 36 months that we are not getting our salaries. Within a few days, election dates will be announced. We want the Govt to secure our jobs right now”, said Kamal Deb.
