AGARTALA, Dec 2 (TIWN): 3 houses were gutted in a devastating fire this afternoon at Madhyapara in Udaipur. The incident occurred at Madhyapara in Udaipur Pradip Banik's house.

After witnessing the fire incident the local people informed the Fire Department, the Fire Department’s personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after long effort.

It is known that 3 rooms at Pradip Banik’s house were burnt down on Friday. It is believed that the fire started from the fire of the lamp in the rented house.

The amount of damage would be around Rs 5 lakh.
