AGARTALA, Dec 1 (TIWN): In protest against political violence, murders in Tripura, Congress on Thursday burnt Chief Minister Manik Saha’s effigy.
Congress leader Asish Saha condemned the incident where in broad daylight a CPI-M worker was killed in Charilam. Saha said, “Amid the ongoing violence in the state, how can CM claim that Sushashan is going on in Tripura?”
Youth Congress leaders participated in the effigy burning program raising “Manik Saha Hay Hay……….”
The protest was staged after BJP provoked violence in Charilam had killed one 65 years old man and injured many.
