AGARTALA, Dec 1 (TIWN): Complaint was lodged against Police’s illegal activity by seizing murdered CPI-M minority leader Sahid Mia’s dead body at GB hospital after post mortem. Sahid Mia was murdered by BJP workers in broad daylight in Charilam yesterday when CPI-M was conducting a peaceful rally and BJP started unprovoked clash, and bombed the area. After post mortem, police did not allow family to take his body. Khurshid Mia has lodged a complaint to the DGP regarding this. It was also alleged that Police lathi-charged on Sahid Mia’s family members at GB hospital and snatched the dead body. CPI-M in protest gheraoed Police Headquarter.

However, later police were bound to handover the dead body.

CPI-M informed if action against the culprit police officials is not taken, then CPI-M again will go on protest.
