60-70 miscreants robbed a house, looted cash Rs 1.5 lakhs in Kailashahar

AGARTALA, Nov 23 (TIWN): Late last night, a group of 60-70 miscreants broke doors of Sukesh Das’s house with sharp weapons, entered the house, beat them and robbed them of cash and ran away. The incident occurred in Ward No. 5 area of Chandipur Gram Panchayat in Kailashahar.

It is known that Sukesh Das, a permanent resident of Ward No. 5 of Chandipur Gram Panchayat, a fish seller by profession, said that last night, like every day after they had dinner went to sleep. Meanwhile a group of 60-70 miscreants came to his house late at night and started shouting. Hearing the shout the men of the house fled through the back door of the house and the miscreants by cutting door entered in the room and ransacked the house.

Sukesh Das said that yesterday he sold an old car at Rs 1.5 lakhs and kept that amount at home and the miscreants also took away the amount. Immediately after the incident, Sukesh Das informed the Kailashahar PS several times but the Police did not come to the incident spot at the right time. .

Chandipur Gram Panchayat Chief Jotsna Das visited the house of Sukesh Das, inspected everything and spoke to Sukesh including Sukesh's family and asked to take legal advice. The Panchayat chief strongly condemned the incident demand immediate arrest and punishment of those involved in this act
