AGARTALA, Nov 15 (TIWN): Amid rising crimes, rapes, gangrapes and massive political violence in Tripura, Chief Minister Manik Saha claimed on Tuesday that crime rates have drastically downed in this state.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, inaugurated the Women's Police Station in Khowai. Apart from the Chief Minister, MLA Kalyani Roy, Director General of State Police, Additional Director General and other senior officials of the State Police were present at the inauguration ceremony.

While giving a brief speech, the Chief Minister said that the level of various crimes in the state of Tripura has reduced by 30 to 40 percent. Along with this, the judicial systems have also developed considerably. He claimed to have directed the police to arrest the real criminals without judging their color and reduce the crime in the state. He also opined that the claim made by the opposition parties that there is no rule of law in the state is baseless.
