AGARTALA, Nov 8 (TIWN): Former IPFT Minister Mebar Jamatia has resigned from MLA post giving a major jolt to the BJP and IPFT. Mebar Jamatia is the topmost leader of IPFT party, the party which is in power with the ruling BJP. Earlier Bishketu Debbarma, Dhananjoy Tripura also resigned from MLA post.

From BJP also three MLAs have resigned in last 4.5 years and many are in the row.

The resignation of Mebar Jamatia came before 2023 Assembly Poll who is expectedly now to join ADC ruling party Tipra Motha now. Mebar Jamatia expressed heavy resentment over BJP, IPFT’s negligence to fulfil the pre-election assurances given to the Tiprasa community people.
