AGARTALA, Nov 7 (TIWN): Along with the worldwide Communists’ programs, the Great November Revolution Day was celebrated by the CPI-M Khowai Sub-Division Committee at various places in the Khowai Sub-Division area.
This November Revolution Day was also celebrated in front of the CPI-M party office in Khowai Tant Chowmuhani area like other places in Khowai sub-division at 7 am on Monday. But shortly after the programe started, a group of miscreants set fire to CPI-M posters and Lenin's portrait.
In protest against that, the Khowai sub-divisional committee blocked the Khowai-Agartala road in Tan Chowmuhani area on Monday at 9 am which generated a traffic jam on that road.
After receiving the news a large police force rushed to the blockade spot and detained the CPI-M activists, taken to the police line in Dhalabilas.
However, no miscreant was arrested who had vandalized the program.
