From Wednesday Bishalgarh area has been reeling under panic situations which escalated after BJP organized gun attacks and bombings in the area, that generated a clash among Congress and BJP in front of Congress’s rally. Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarman who has no authority in Bishalgarh constituency rushed to SDPO office with BJP workers and threatened police officers in closed rooms. Then police arrested only Congress workers with the same charges which ought to be imposed on BJP backed accused persons as they were involved in gun and bomb attack.

As police relieved the BJP workers from any action and arrested opposition Congress members. Then at night till Thursday BJP organized house-to-house attacks. They started from Office Tila area. At first, they attacked a road goer Pintu Debnath and beat him up, snatching his gold ring.

Then the BJP workers entered Chiranjit Das’s home and attempted to enter his home but they could not damage the main gate. Then the BJP goons had thrown bricks at Chiranjit Das’s home.

Next the hooligans entered Tapan Das’s home and vandalized it. Tapan Das is a daily worker.

Then BJP bike-gang organized attacks at Goutam Ghosh’s home at West Laxmibhill, Office Tilla, and then Biplab Saha ‘s home, where the iron gate was broken, house was vandalized.

Then Rajesh Das’s house was attacked. After that local people came out against the anti-social elements led them to run away.

Reacting to the incidents, CPI-M Bishalgarh leader said, “This is how the goons need treatment. All people regardless political identities should come forward and fight against the anti-socials unitedly”.
