AGARTALA, Oct 1 (TIWN): Tripura’s unemployment rate is now 16.3 % but even after having sufficient sources of recruitment Govt has no hurry to complete the recruitment process. As Durga puja season did not bring any good news for the JRBT job aspirants, they demanded their recruitment immediately after the Durga Puja. Recently, JRBT job aspirants were arrested by police in Agartala JRBT office on Friday after they had gheraoed the JRBT office seeking immediate result of the JRBT led Group-C, Group-D interviews. It has been more than a year that JRBT exam was taken but so far the result has not been given. Agitating unemployed youths had gheraoed the JRBT Office seeking immediate results but police displayed brutality on the job aspirants.
Talking to media, a job aspirant said, “This time instead of lathi-charge, police must shoot us, not in our legs but at hour head. We are unable to show our faces in our homes. Let us die. The High Court has withdrawn the stay order on recruitment and asked the Govt to recruit us but this Govt is not obeying the High Court’s order”.
The job aspirants said they have been waiting for 1-year for JRBT results but there is no sign of result publication whereas the elections are knocking on doors.
There are repeated allegations that JRBT recruitment is under corruption and that’s the reason, BJP Govt is delaying the recruitment in an attempt to postpone it after the 2023 Election.
