AGARTALA, Sep 28 (TIWN): From Mohanpur rape and murder case of a girl to rape of a maid at Gomati Dairy Cooperative Limited Chairman’s home, Tripura Law cum Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath came under severe controversies for sheltering criminals. Today court has ordered Lefunga police to lodge complaint against Gomati Dairy chairman Samir Das immediately as police did not lodge the case due to alleged political pressure from Minister Ratan Lal Nath and his people. Reacting to the repeated attempts of Ratan Lal Nath to patronizing criminals, Congress MLA Sudip Barman has written letter to BJP High Command demanding immediate termination of Ratan Lal Nath.

“The girl in Mohanpur was burnt alive after raping and final report was also given without arresting anyone. In all such cases, a direct influence of Ratan Lal Nath was witnessed. Such incidents have driven me to write the letter to the PM. A person who shelters criminal has no right to hold the cabinet post”, said Sudip Roy Barman.

“When BJP raises Beti-Bachao, Beti-Padao slogan, Ratan Babu is helping the criminals. He is getting involved in heinous crimes..but when I raised the issue Ratan Lal Nath shouted because thieves mother always have loud voice.........”, added Barman.

The statement came after a heavy argument between Sudip Barman and Ratan Lal Nath took place in the Assembly about Ratan Lal Nath’s sheltering of rapists and criminals.
