AGARTALA, Sep 27 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha was on the way to Kadamtala, Churaibari on Tuesday to attend a bunch of party programs. But before his arrival, local women including men blocked Kadamtala-Churaibari road adjacent to the block office against drinking water crisis, electricity issues and over deplorable roads.

On spreading road blockade news huge Police forces and local leaders rushed to the spot but Panchayat Samiti’s chairman callous treatment with the agitators erupted heated scenario in the area. The Kadamtala Panchayat Samiti Chairman came to the blockade and directly threatened the women to lift the blockade before hearing anything. But the women did not withdraw the movement.

However, locals alleged over 6 months they are facing difficulties over drinking water crisis, electricity issues and deplorable roads as often minor accidents occuring on that road.
