AGARTALA, Sep 25 (TIWN): In a major jolt for the BJP and its political ally IPFT, ahead of Village Council Poll, ST MLA Burbo Mohan Tripura has resigned from the MLA post. The resignation letter was handed over to the Assembly Speaker Ratan Chakraborty in presence of ADC ruling party, Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Manikya and former MLA Brishketu Debbarma (resigned IPFT MLA).
After the resignation, Pradyot Manikya informed that it’s a move to unit the Tiprasa and Burbo Mohan Tripura has decided correctly not to be further a part of any national party, rather a part of Tipra Motha like strong regional party.
The jolt for BJP came a day after sacked CM Biplab Deb got 43 votes for Rajya Sabha MP post, claiming that the result approved the fact that all BJP, IPFT MLAs are with BJP.
