AGARTALA, Sep 23 (TIWN): Assembly Speaker Ratan Chakraborty has confirmed that Burbo Mohan Tripura is no longer a part of the Tripura Assembly and his resignation from MLA post was accepted. “He has submitted his resignation following protocols. His resignation is accepted”, said Ratan Chakraborty.

The resignation letter ahead of the crucial village council poll was handed over to the Assembly Speaker Ratan Chakraborty in presence of ADC ruling party, Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Manikya and former MLA Brishketu Debbarma (resigned IPFT MLA).

Speculations are on many BJP, IPFT MLAs’ resignations in the upcoming days till the 2023 poll.
