AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): Robberies have been taking place in state for the past few days, total 4 robberies occurred in the past 15 days in Baldakhal and Aralia area which has spread extreme panic in the area. Miscreants after entering houses looted Gold ornaments, cash including mobile Phones at night by holding sharp knives at house owner and other members in one after another houses.
On Wednesday late night in Araliya area again the robbers rushed at a house but after the locals chased them, they escaped leaving the spot. One after another such incidents have generated fear among people. On Thursday morning SP West Yogeshwar Reddy and the entire Police team visited houses where robberies took place in Baldakhal area and Aralia area and assured before media that the Police team will look on this matter and would soon detain the Dacoits.
He also stated that Police patrolling will be increased in the entire area and on the National Highway.
