AGARTALA, June 28 (TIWN): Theft incidents have increased in the state Tripura massively. From hospitals, common public’s houses, shops to Govt. offices, quarter nothing have been spared from thieves’ hands. A group of thieves targeted Govt Quarter in Barpathari Primary Health Center, Belonia, looted Gold Ornaments of Rs 10 lakhs and cash in broad-daylight.
According to the details, Rinku Saha works at Barapathari Primary Health Center in Belonia Rajnagar Block and her husband Rajib Saha works in Rajnagar Fire Service. They went out from home for Office on Monday morning. After returning home Rinku Saha noticed that her main entrance door was unlocked which was cut by thieves with sharp weapons. Later, she noticed that from showcase to cupboard all were broken.
Immediately the theft incident was informed to PR Bari PS.
Rinku Saha said the thieves stole her Gold ornament worth around Rs 10 lakh along with Rs 5,000 in cash. The theft incident in broad daylight in a Govt quarter has generated fear among other locals.
