TIWN June 27, 2022 (Poll Violence)

AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): Soon after the By-Poll result was declared BJP miscreants set fire to a CPI-M supporter’s shop in Shyamali Bazar area, Agartala on Sunday. Opposition leader Manik Sarkar, CPIM state secretary Jitendra Choudhury, Ratan Das, and many other heavy-weight leaders visited the area.
Confronting media former CM Manik Sarkar condemned the incident and said that on one side Voters were not allowed to cast votes, false Votes were given and now oppositely the goons are attacking people's houses. Over the Hooliganism Sarkar asked, “What is going on in the state?”
Jitentra Choudhury said, "BJP doesn’t respect Indian Constitution and Democracy, and as a result the BJP has paralyzed the entire administration System, doesn’t allow the voters to cast votes on Polling day".
Choudhury stated that since yesterday night across the state BJP is generating hooliganism.
The CPIM leaders then visited Suryamani Nagar, AD Nagar, Kanchanmala, Jogendra Nagar like violence affected areas and met the locals.
