AGARTALA, June 17 (TIWN): After few splashes of rain on Friday, Smart City Agartala submerged under water and turned into a Water City which caused massive difficulties for pedestrians to cross the roads on Friday.
Though water-logging in Agartala City is nothing new, former CM Biplab Deb had assured in 2018 before the media that No Water-logging will be seen from next year. And in Sept 2020 Deb claimed that 90% water logging problem has ended in Tripura but his claims turned out false because every year after few splashes of rain the Smart City’s main roads submerged under Water.
On Friday after a few splashes of rain disrupted the pedestrians' move on the main roads in Agartala due to water-logging.
Now the question arises, if 90% water logging problem has already finished according to former CM Biplab Deb’s statement then why does the Public face difficulties to move after a few splashes of rain in Agartala?
Ground reality is Biplab Deb has been given only false assurance to the state's people.
