AGARTALA, June 14 (TIWN): Left Front wing CPIM(L) party came in limelight by urging voters on Monday to vote for Tipra Motha and Congress parties where Left is weak.
In a press conference, CPIM(L) leader stated that there is no way to deny that in Agartala Congress’s two candidates, in Surma Tipra Motha are stronger than Left Front candidates.
“Tipra Motha is the ruling indigenous party and nobody can deny its grip in Tripura indigenous vote banks. In Jubaraj Nagar CPI-M candidate has a chance if supported by all non-BJP parties. In the same way, let's vote for Congress candidates in Bordowali and Agartala constituencies”, said CPIM(L).
However, CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury has refuted to entertain such pleas, saying it is not Left Front’s statement, though CPIM(L)’s view.
Tripura By-Election to be conducted on June 23rd in four constituencies: 1) Town Bordowali (8), 2) Agartala (6), 3) Surma, 4) Jubarajnagar.
