AGARTALA, June 8 (TIWN): With Sudip Roy Barman, Asish Saha’s come-back to Congress party and party’s rising popularities amid possible alliances with a few other opposition parties, Central Congress nodded to try-out Tripura By-Poll Election a serious test ahead of Tripura Assembly Poll 2023 which is just one year ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha Poll against Narendra Modi Govt. Reportedly, Sachin Pilot, Alka Lamba, Kanhaiya Kumar will campaign for Tripura By-Polls from 11th June. Tripura By-Polls will be conducted in four constituencies – 1) Bordowali, 2) Agartala-6, 3) Surma, 4) Jubaraj Nagar.
Congress has submitted nomination for 3 constituencies (Bodowali, Agartala-6, Jubaraj Nagar) and former Congress President Pradyot Manikya led Tipra Motha party to participate in 1 constituency (Surma), though officially no alliance was announced between these two parties.
Tripura By-Election to be held on June 23 and results to be declared on June 29.
