AGARTALA, June 2 (TIWN): CPIM supporters’ families are reeling under fear in Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath's Assembly constituency. Ahead of poll, goons are roaming in Mohanpur assembly Constituency and threatening the CPIM supporters’ families allegedly saying ‘no one can support any other political party except BJP’. The BJP miscreants also allegedly abused 70/75 years elderly people, women, and children.
Reportedly, BJP backed around 45-50 bike gang goons created a turmoil situation in Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath's Assembly constituency on 31st May. They held attacks on CPIM’s family for more than 3 hours in various areas under Law Minister’s Constituency. Over this, CPIM state secretary Jitendra Chowdhury met the victim CPIM party supporters in the area and condemned the incident.
Choudhury said, “In some houses 4-5 times attacks have been done and in some houses attacks were done newly, and those who held the attack were outsiders.... all the attackers are from various areas of Mohanpur Constituency.”
After talking with local victim people Choudhury came to know that Law Minister cum Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath is behind the bike-gang hooliganism. Choudhury stated that taking the opportunity of jobless, workless, hunger of youths, often a turmoil situation has been generated.
Along with the state secretary Jiten Choudhury, party's West District secretary Ratan Das, Mohanpur sub-divisional secretary Pranab Debbarma, sub-divisional secretary Dilip Das, Sudip Debnath and other party leaders joined to hear common public’s miseries due to BJP’s Hooligans under Mohanpur Assembly Constituency.
