AGARTALA, May 24 (TIWN): No action was taken by Tripura BJP Govt to fill up vacant pharmacists’ posts even though the cabinet had decided to recruit a good number of pharmacists. A protest was staged by the job aspirants at the Health Dept Office seeking an immediate recruitment process’s start. The job aspirants said that no notification was published so far for the recruitment. Talking to the media, one of the job aspirants said, “We all unemployed youths who have passed out in Pharmacists courses have gathered to place our demand. Back in December 2021 it was announced by the State Govt that Pharmacists will be recruited in all sectors".
"It was announced that 22 Homeopathic Pharmacists, 25 Ayurvedic, 412 Allopathic……we welcome the decision but unfortunately, no step was taken to start the recruitment process. This is not our demand, this is Govt’s decision which should be fulfilled”, he said.
"Moreover, we demand that Tripura’s residents with PRTC should be given first priority”, said the job aspirant.
