BELONIA, April 22 (TIWN): When the generation is moving towards a total digital era and Govt of India is pressing for more digitalization, in Tripura people still are on road seeking their basic demands of electricity and water. Even after paying hefty power bills, there is no guarantee of electricity in this state, and everyday protests, and blockades are reported where people are struggling for basic needs. At Masterpara of Hrishyamukh, Belonia, the public blocked road in protest against long power-cut problems. They are note getting electricity for the last 3 days after a storm was reported in various eastern India parts which affected Tripura, but in no state did people suffer like Tripura. 3 days after power had gone, no repairing had taken place. Locals blocked the road saying, until the power comes back, they will not leave the agitation spot.
Later, a local leader from the ruling party rushed to the spot and assured the public that their problems will be solved.
Due to the power cut, the water crisis is happening simultaneously.
