AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): Alleged National Liberation Front of Tipra (NLFT) activist Parimal Debabarma was arrested by Bishramganj police on Monday from Kamalghat area under Lefunga PS.

Including Parimal 3 more Videsh Debbarma, Jahar Debbarma and Rajesh Debbarma were also arrested. Last night, high-ranking officials of the district police, including SDPO Rahul Das, led by SP Rathi Ranjan Debnath had interrogated the detainees.

Parimal Debbarma was taken to court from Bishalgarh PS seeking 5-days police remand.

Allegation raised against the accused that on March 5 forcibly he snatched Rs 17 lakh from Nirmal Debnath’s shop in Bishramganj Bazar.
