AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): Tripura CM Biplab Deb on Tuesday said that in Tripura total 54 tea gardens are there, and maximum tea gardens are Private. He said, tea gardens' managing system and production had collapsed but after 2018 those tea gardens have been becoming stable. The most neglected labourers are tea garden labourers and for their overall development state Govt brought ‘Chief Minister Tea Labour Policy’ for which Rs 85 crore allocated.
Under this Policy PMAY house, Antyodaya card, Education parameter development, free water supply, Discount Loan for Higher Education, Health Insurance for free, and Pension to deserving people will be arranged, and initiative will be taken for Tea labourers department.
CM further said that over 7500 registered tea labourers will be benefitted.
