AGARTALA, January 3 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar today inaugurating the 27th Shishu Mela at Egiye Cholo Songho club situated at Agartala Melarmath urged the parents to encourage their children towards extracurricular activities besides their studies. The parents must educate their children well so that they can be much aware of any kind of social unrest across the state.
Sidelining the issue of atrocities on women Chief Minister Manik Sarkar during his speech said that the crimes against women still prevails in the state Tripura, and along with domestic violence has stand tall. Adding to that CM said that it is absolutely wrong to blame the police in this regard because police basically remains unknown about any kind of domestic violence before the incident happen, as such an incidents occurs inside one’s house. It is the duty of the police to investigate the case after the incident occurs, but if then the police fails to bring any result of the case than it is their fault.
However, the Egiye Cholo Songho club is the first club in the capital city Agartala to start Sishu Mela. The club is situated at Agartala Melarmath. Several children with colorful costumes today participated in the 27th Shishu mela held at the club.
