AGARTALA, Feb 13 (TIWN): Countering BJP Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Surajit Datta who denied joining Congress party, Congress leader Sudip Barman said, Congress does not want also such dirty animals who can strict to BJP amid such misruling and violence ongoing in this state. Addressing media, Sudip Roy Barman at Congress Bhawan said, “Those who can not give up their posts, let them stay in BJP and make more money. Few are still busy in collecting ‘hafta’ from border areas. Ratan Lal Nath who targeted me for party changing, what is his background? One week before joining BJP, standing in front of Rabindra Bhawan, Ratan Lal Nath was claiming that Congress for him like Rosogolla and then by one week, he quit Congress. We work for people and so left posts in the BJP. We want such members for our party who will work for change, not for post”.
Sudip Roy Barman also visited Udaipur Tripura Sundari temple and informed media that he is going to file a PIL against illegal occupying of position in Matabari trustee by CM Biplab Deb which as per Tripura merger law can never happen. As per merger rule, only the Goddess is the overall supremo but now removing the Goddess Tripura Sundari, Biplab Deb has put his name.
During his visit to Udaipur, Barman appealed to all BJP kariyakartas who were earlier in Congress to join hands as nobody is happy under the BJP rule.
Sudip Roy Barman also slammed Ratan Lal Nath for his claim about per capita income rise, asking, when unemployment is so high, how can per capita income may rise and when so much percentage are under BPL category? Barman said, it proves that a section of people is becoming rich under this system.
