AGARTALA, Feb 13 (TIWN): In the last four years at least 517 political murders happened in Tripura under Biplab Deb’s regime.

CPI-M’s 23 and TMC’s 1 party workers were killed whereas IPFT workers were also allegedly murdered which are unrecorded and data are scattered.

Reacting to the increasing crimes in Tripura, Sudip Roy Barman while addressing Congress’s rally yesterday said, “Police should act as per law. 517 murders happened in Tripura. OC of a police station was brutally murdered by Drug mafia in Boxonagar but no justice because a powerful lady’s brother was connected to the case”.

“In which era are we living. This is an insult to the police. Tripura’s condition was never like this before”, said Sudip Barman.
